Liz Jenkins

Sr. Community Outreach Manager

Liz Jenkins joined Rifeline in March 2024 and currently serves as a Senior Community Outreach Manager after a career in public education with Austin Independent School District. She arrived with experience in project management, community relations, coaching and administrative supervision. She is currently working on public involvement in Williamson County, Texas to improve safety and accessibility throughout the rapidly growing county.

Liz earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas with a focus in Urban Planning and Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.

Prior to her work at Rifeline, she was instrumental in conceptualizing, organizing, and implementing a smaller learning community within a large urban high school. She built positive relationships with hundreds of students, faculty, and families. One of her proudest achievements was working with low-income students to become first generation college graduates.

While originally from Monterey, California, she has lived in Virginia, Illinois, and Maryland. She has called Austin home since 1991.
