Loraine Brown
Chief of Staff
Loraine Brown has been with Rifeline since January 2024 and currently serves as Chief of Staff. She is responsible for overseeing and managing company resources effectively and efficiently, ensuring that projects are optimally staffed, and that project requirements and contractual obligations are met. She provides leadership and direction in various aspects of the business - including operational process, strategic planning, and team management - to drive the company toward its long-term goals.
Loraine's experience includes a deep background in development and execution of operational and general management processes in a variety of industries and with a wide range of stakeholders. Prior to joining Rifeline, she was VP of Strategic Planning and Finance at Board.org from 2020-2024, where she led strategic initiatives relating to product strategy, innovation, organizational design, and management prioritization and alignment. She also managed internal communications, process documentation, P&L and financial models, forecasting, and budgeting. Other previous roles across her 25+ year career include Director of Operations for RED VELVET, Global Head of Legal & Compliance Operations and Chief Compliance Officer at GLG, Research Director at Corporate Executive Board, and Director, Educational Services for Blackbaud.
Loraine graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Communication Studies. In addition to her corporate experience, she holds a Certified Specialist of Wine designation from the Society of Wine Educators and is an avid traveler to wine-producing regions around the world. A native of Huntsville, Alabama, Loraine moved to her adopted hometown of Austin in 2005. Since 2011, she has served as Board President and Chair of the Foundation for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas, which awards scholarships to participants in the BBBS mentorship programs.
