Nora Gonzalez
Sr. Community Outreach Coordinator
Nora Gonzalez joined the Rifeline team in August of 2024 as a Senior Community Outreach Coordinator. She brings five years of experience in the non-profit sector where she cultivated a wide range of skills from case management to policy and civic engagement.
Nora is a native Texan and graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Growing up on the border prompted her to advocate for immigrant rights, and in previous roles she served as a Legal Assistant and Project Coordinator for immigration attorneys and spent a short time in Pittsburgh as a Policy Organizer at a Latino resource center. Within these roles she has organized community meetings and events, led 'Get Out The Vote' campaign efforts, and developed a project that connected LGBTQ+ immigrants to housing, medical, and legal services on both sides of the border.
With a passion for community engagement and outreach, Nora is excited to bring these skills to her role at Rifeline. She moved to Austin in 2024 and enjoys exploring the city’s music scene, searching for the best barbeque, and hosting game nights with friends.
