David Kolovson

Director of Communications and Strategy

David Kolovson joined Rifeline in June of 2021 as a Senior Community Outreach Manager. David has more than a decade of experience in strategic communications and media relations. His experience includes managing external and internal communications efforts for non-profit organizations, Members of Congress, national and local political campaigns, and corporate clients. 

Prior to joining Rifeline, David was a Director of Regional Marketing for the American Cancer Society managing media relations for the organization in eight states, including Texas. His career in public service has also included roles as a Director of Communications for a Member of Congress and as a Research Associate on a presidential campaign.

David graduated from Hendrix College with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics in 2010 and received a Master of Arts in Communication from Johns Hopkins University in 2015. Raised in San Antonio, David has called Austin home for the last 4 years. In his spare time, you can find him building furniture with traditional woodworking tools and cheering on Austin FC.
